Terms & Conditions

1. Services

Tuition by Teachers Limited offers the following services:

Private Tuition — one-to-one sessions delivered online via Zoom at £60 per hour
Group Tuition — small group sessions of no more than 6 children, delivered online via Zoom at £40 per session per student
Homework Membership — a monthly subscription providing access to downloadable PDF Maths and English resources at £15 per month

All tuition sessions are delivered personally by Stephanie. Tuition by Teachers Limited does not use agency tutors, student tutors or substitutes. In the event that Stephanie is unable to deliver a session due to illness or emergency, affected clients will be notified as soon as possible and the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

2. Bookings and Payment

Sessions are booked directly with Tuition by Teachers Limited via email following an initial consultation. An initial assessment will be carried out before regular sessions begin. The cost of the initial assessment will be agreed prior to the session taking place.

Monthly payment

For clients billed on a monthly basis, invoices are issued on the 1st of each month and are due for payment on the same date. Failure to pay by the 1st of the month may result in sessions being paused until payment is received.

Weekly payment

For clients billed on a weekly basis, invoices must be paid by the Sunday before the start of the new week. Failure to pay by this date may result in the upcoming session being postponed until payment is received.

4. Cancellation Policy — Private Tuition

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a private tuition session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may be charged at the full session rate. We understand that genuine emergencies arise and will always try to be reasonable — please contact us as soon as possible if an unexpected situation occurs.

Tuition by Teachers Limited reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions in the event of illness, emergency or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, clients will be notified promptly and no charge will be made for the cancelled session.

4. Group Tuition

Group tuition sessions are offered in small classes of no more than 6 children. Places must be booked and paid for in advance of each term or block of sessions as agreed.

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled group session, the session fee is non-refundable. Where possible, and at our sole discretion, we will endeavour to send the lesson resources and a recording of the session by email to support your child in catching up independently. We will also try to offer an alternative arrangement such as a place in another group session that week or a private session in lieu. These are offered as a goodwill gesture and cannot be guaranteed.

Punctuality

Punctuality is important in group sessions as late arrivals disrupt the flow of learning for all students. If a student arrives late to a group session on three separate occasions this will be noted and ongoing participation will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Group tuition places are subject to availability. Tuition by Teachers Limited reserves the right to cancel a group session if minimum numbers are not met, in which case a full refund or credit will be provided.

5. Homework Membership

The Homework Membership is a monthly recurring subscription costing £15 per month. Payment is taken automatically on the date of sign up each month and will continue to be taken on that date each subsequent month until the subscription is cancelled.

Access to the Homework Hub and all downloadable resources is available for as long as the subscription remains active. Upon cancellation, access will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will cease.

Resources are created by qualified teachers and are aligned to the national curriculum. They are designed to provide additional practice and consolidation of key skills alongside school. They are not intended to replace teaching and we do not guarantee specific academic results or outcomes.

All resources are for personal use only. Materials must not be shared, copied, resold or distributed in any format. Any breach of this condition may result in immediate cancellation of the membership without refund.

Due to the instant access to downloadable content provided upon sign up, we are unable to offer refunds once a subscription period has begun.

Content within the Homework Membership may be updated, added to or amended over time as we continue to improve and expand our resources. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have suitable devices and software to access and use PDF files.

To cancel your membership, log in to your account, go to My Subscriptions, click the arrow next to your plan and select Cancel Subscription.

6. Online Sessions

All tuition sessions are delivered online via Zoom. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have a suitable device, stable internet connection and a quiet environment for sessions. Tuition by Teachers Limited is not responsible for technical difficulties on the client’s side that result in a session being interrupted or unable to take place. In such cases we will endeavour to reschedule where possible.

7. Communication

The primary method of communication is email at info@tuitionbyteachers.com. We aim to respond to all emails within 24 hours.

WhatsApp communication is available for brief messages, session logistics and short clarifications and is included within the session fee. The following are not included and may be subject to an additional charge as they require time and planning outside of scheduled sessions:

Phone or video consultations to discuss academic progress or specific concerns
Requests for additional bespoke resources or materials beyond scheduled session planning
Any extended correspondence requiring detailed written responses

8. Safeguarding

Tuition by Teachers Limited takes the safety and wellbeing of all children seriously. Stephanie holds an Enhanced DBS certificate and complies with safeguarding best practice at all times. All online sessions are conducted via Zoom and we recommend that a parent or guardian is present in the home during sessions, particularly for younger children.

9. Liability

Tuition by Teachers Limited will not be held liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from the use of our services beyond the fees paid. We do not guarantee specific examination results, school offers or academic outcomes. Individual results will vary depending on a range of factors including the child’s effort, attendance and engagement.

10. Privacy

Personal data collected in the course of providing our services is held securely and used only for the purposes of delivering those services. We do not share personal data with third parties without consent except where required by law. For full details please refer to our Privacy Policy.

11. Amendments

Tuition by Teachers Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of our services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
